Theatre celebrates the spirit of the season with the World Premiere Back Home Again: A John Denver Holiday Concert,
presented in the style of John Denver’s popular Christmas specials.
This
evening of traditional and modern Christmas Carols, plus some of John
Denver’s
most memorable hits, is perfect for the entire family. Back
Home Again will transport audiences back in time to a place
where life is simple, and sweet, and full of promise.
The
cast is led by Tony-nominee Dan Wheetman, a world class picker ‘n
fiddler who led
with John Denver’s band for eight years. Also featured are Broadway
favorite
Jim Newman (The Who’s Tommy, Steel Pier,
Sunset Blvd.) and acclaimed Nashville
singer Gail Bliss (A Closer Walk with
Patsy Cline, Play it by Heart).
Director and writer Randal Myler is the Tony nominated creator of smash
hits
including Ain’t Nothin’ but the Blues,
Love, Janis, Lost Highway, The
Immigrant,
and Fire on the Mountain: The Music of
the Coal Mines.

Balancing Acts
Season – with Back Home Again: A John
Denver Holiday Concert by the Tony nominated creators of Nothin’ But the Blues. This down-home fun-filled
concert is presented in the style of John Denver’s popular Christmas
specials,
and the cast is led by Dan Wheetman, who performed with John Denver’s
band for
8 years. Back Home Again will enchant
the whole family and transport you back in time to a place where life
is sweet,
and simple, and full of promise.

Concert previews Thursday and Friday, November 30 and December 1st at
8:00 p.m.
The opening gala is Saturday,
December
2, with show at 7:00 p.m. and an elegant reception and party to follow
with
cast members, local dignitaries and special guests. Regular
performances
continue December 3 through December 24, Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m.,
Thursdays through Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00
p.m.
and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Preview tickets are $25 each. Gala tickets are $85 per person. Regular
ticket prices are $26 to $49, depending on the performance. Groups of
12 or
more receive special savings.
